Born in Milan in 1945, Franco Raggi graduated from the Politecnico di Milano in 1969. After studying under Nizzoli Associati, he collaborated with Casabella from 1971 to 1975. From 1975 to 1977, he was the Secretary-Coordinator of Visual Arts and Architecture at the Biennale di Venezia (Europe-America). In 1977, he became the editor-in-Chief of «Modo», and then the Director from 1981 to 1983. In addition to his involvement in numerous significant writings of this time, such as Radical Story (1973), Vienna (1974), he was associated with controdesign, trivial, and the design of language relativity. He was the designer of the Architectures (1981) exhibition held in Rimini. In 1983 he designed the houses for the Triennale exhibition, held simultaneously in Milan and Paris.
