Elio Martinelli

Elio Martinelli (1921-2004) was well known in Italy and abroad. After he graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Florence, he started his own business in the city of Lucca. During the 50’s, Elio Martinelli emphasized his simple and rigorous style, making his company a reference point for the Italian design in the lighting sector. He collaborated with many famous designers, but Martinelli never stopped researching new ideas, technologies and production systems, taking into account the constant evolution of light sources. Pieces from the Martinelli Luce collection are present in museums around the world.
