Carlo Cumini

Carlo Cumini was born in Gemona del Friuli in 1953, where he currently works. In 1974 he started to work in the family business, which focused on designing and selling household furniture. From 1979 to 1984, he designed individual pieces of furniture for higher volume production. In 1993 he participated in the design of some products for the “giardino di pietra” (Stone Garden) and the “laboratorio del marmo” (marble laboratory). In 1995 he began his co-operation with Alberto Freschi and Carlo Bancolini, the latter living and working in Marrakech. In 2000 he designed and constructed the furnishings for the Museum of Modern Art in Caracas.
